Sale of Zone Advanced Protection Systems

The final investment in Helmsman Capital Fund (“HCF”) was sold via trade sale in September 2011 to Smart G Enterprises. Smart G Enterprises is an Australian based developer and marketer of Physical Security Information Management systems, whose international reach presents an exciting opportunity for the future growth prospects of the Zone business and its core technology, the multi sensor control platform product.

Following completion of the sale, HCF will be in a position to be formally wound up with sale proceeds and remaining funds on hand being distributed to unit holders. Since inception in 2002, HCF has generated returns of 2.6 times money and gross IRR of 53%.
